We have an international team of data scientists and learning analysts who study how students learn best and deliver critical digital insights and visualizations to help guide strategy. We blend that learning science with technology, design and product thinking, and data analytics.   In this hands-on role, you will be tasked with supporting the team to deliver to the vision. The team is made up of Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Engineers providing metrics to influence product development and drive student results. You will collaborate closely with other product owners and departments to make informed decisions using crisp, coherent metrics and reports on   platform usage trends, new or existing feature usage and uptake. Position Responsibilities Develop and maintain a healthy backlog for new data requirements in line with defined data strategy and vision for platform and learning initiatives Articulate the data vision and roadmap in long- and short-term planning and business case development efforts Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather clarity on data requirements and expectations Create epics and user stories from multiple sources and use cases Participate in preparation and sizing of stories as well as other scrum ceremonies Prioritize requirements with the team based on market needs and overall business value Understand and identify data needs to provide direction to stakeholders Qualifications: Some experience in software developmentproduct management, ideally in education technology Experience leading and managing a feature-rich product roadmap(aligning   it   to business drivers, keeping it relevant to   internal and external customers and market needs) Demonstrated success and experience leading teams with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence An understanding of data interrogation with the ability to prepare metrics and regularly report on platform/product trends to drive data driven decisions Knowledge of education technology (K-12) industry technology trends, user experience (educators, students, and administrators), and classroom needs Strong organizational and communication skills and an ability to present business cases, vision, and reports to all stakeholders Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and make difficult decisions with speed and accuracy Bonus Points: (But not essential) Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or technical discipline preferred Agile Product Manager/Owner Certification preferred Previous work with   product   or   development teams both co-located and distributed team models.
