Production Planner plays a crucial role in leading, optimizing production by forecasting, analyzing, and managing the capacity requirements of live orders, backlog and sales pipelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Lead planners within LOB and work cross functionally with other LOB’s to share best practice and improve standards.
Own LOB Planning KPI’s and accuracy of work for team.
Develop and maintain accurate plans, records and KPI of production schedules.
Analyze production schedules, historical data, and market demand to develop accurate capacity plans.
Collaborate with production, sales, and supply chain teams to understand current and future production requirements.
Continuously monitor and adjust forecasts to reflect changes in demand or production capabilities.
Liaise with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to gather information on market trends, customer demands, and potential disruptions.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align production plans with the Busbar LOB goals.
Monitor production performance against capacity plans and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Identify and analyze production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Proactively identify potential risks to production capacity and develop contingency plans.
Work with stakeholders to implement risk mitigation strategies.
Evaluate and recommend process improvements to enhance production efficiency and capacity utilization.
Generate regular reports on production capacity performance and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3–7+ years in production planning within manufacturing environments.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Excel and smartsheet skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
