Castolin Eutectic are delighted to announce the full time vacancy of a Production Planner within based out of our Citywest office, Dublin. The Role Review Production proposals from system on a daily basis Determine all production requirements and schedule as appropriate (respecting existing schedule, MOQ’s, material availability and any other constraints Create Work Orders in the system Work with Senior Planner, Production Manager and Production Supervisors to determine and agree capacities and schedules for each area in the factory, ensuring all plans and priorities are known. Ensure any changes to the production plan, for any reason, are properly communicated to the relevant people From production plans, prepare & print all Work Orders for release to production Check that all required materials are available Allocate materials to WO’s Print WO’s and distribute to relevant personnel Issue materials to WO’s on system (some booking of hours also needed) Track WO’s and materials at various stages through the production process and ensure that WO planned dates and quantities are accurately maintained in the system (amending planned delivery/shipment dates when needed) Co-ordinate blend and pack schedules in powder department, ensuring all WO’s are printed and available as needed Attend daily Production meeting Respond promptly to any customer enquiries with regard to product availability (especially with regards to pricing and lead-time) Carry out any additional administrative functions as may be requested from time to time, particularly with regard to Customer Services and Shipping. Perform certain specific tasks relating to specific areas of the factory, the main ones as described below Review the overall Planning and Production processes along with other members of the Planning and Management team to identify ways of: minimising downtime due to changeovers (all areas of plant) reducing the amount of admin needed Streamlining workflow insofar as possible with agreement from Finance Produce weekly, monthly and annual reports as required (e.g. Open Order report; Order Intake Report, Shipment Reports and others as required ) You will be required to be flexible in this position and must be prepared to undertake such work as may be reasonably assigned to you by the Company from time to time. The Person A motivated, enthusiastic individual with ability to work on own initiative Must be a pro-active Self-starter, with excellent attention to detail. Must be a Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Will have excellent computer/organisational skills as well as good numerical skills Experience and Qualifications Must have at least 2-3 years’ experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment, working with an ERP/MRP system. Should be educated to a minimum of Certificate Level (preferably degree level) in a business related discipline at Third Level. Must have a good/excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)
