The Programme Manager will hold a management role within the HIS Directorate.

This role is to ensure that methods used in research activities within the HIS Directorate are based on best practice and outputs are of the highest quality.

Examples of this include evidence synthesis to support national standards development, data analytics to report on a national surveys or evidence synthesis to support national policy development.

They will manage a team and will ensure that research skills are maintained within the team.

They will promote a culture of learning within the team and support student placement and collaboration with academic third parties.

Working collaboratively across the function they will contribute to process development to support research activity and ensure research outputs are quality assured within their function.

They will contribute to strategy development for the HIS Directorate.

They will have excellent organisational skills and be responsible for the delivery of multiple work programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time and to the highest quality.

They will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesion, collaboration and delivery of agreed programmes of work.

The successful candidate will be required to travel to in-person stakeholder engagement events at a regional, national and international events.

Essential: A minimum postgraduate degree (Masters) (Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent) in health services research, epidemiology, public health, health informatics, statistics, or in a health-related science with a high content in health services research or another area deemed relevant by the authority.
