Waterford has an exciting opportunity for a QC Technician with 1 - 2 years' industry experience.
Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor the QC Technician will evaluate and report on technical & quality metrics to ensure products meet the required regulatory and customer requirements.
12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Duties will include: Undertake, record and report on factory production control quality assurance checks for incoming raw materials to finished product Monitor production processes to ensure they adhere to quality standards and provide feedback to production teams Work closely with production teams, process engineers, and supervisors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions Conducting product testing, inputting data into the database, and analysing quality results to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
Support R&D and innovation projects, Plan, Test and Report.
Support cross-functional teams across departments driving performance excellence, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Document any noncompliance and ensure that recorded compliance issues are resolved and corrected.
Assist with technical administration functions via Q-Pulse as required * Ensure 6 S is applied to all work areas and equipment.
Support environmental department with the monitoring and testing of water samples across the site.
Improve product guidelines / documentation and standard work procedures Assist external testing requirements for new products.
Ensure testing, measuring and monitoring equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained as per th calibration schedule Conduct Internal IMS audits as part of the auditing schedule Promote a culture of Quality within the company Deliver Quality related training to process departments as required Qualifications & Experience: Third level qualification in a relevant science or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
A strong track record of team work in quality control is essential Excellent communication, organisational & interpersonal skills required Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work on one's own initiative Demonstrate excellent IT skills.
