Louth. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project, working with a well-established contractor.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for the project.
Manage project costs, ensuring value for money while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Oversee procurement processes, including sourcing materials and appointing subcontractors.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure alignment with project budgets.
Assess, value, and agree on variations to contracts with subcontractors and clients.
Prepare interim and final valuations, including the preparation of claims for payments.
Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting to the project team and stakeholders.
Liaise with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, contractual obligations, and building standards.
Requirements: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a background in residential or social housing projects.
Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts, building regulations, and procurement processes.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft Excel, Cubit, or Cost X.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
