Registered General Nurse
Care Network Ireland are seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent position in a 99 bed acute general hospital in Limerick City.
The hospitals clinical services provided on site include:
· General Medicine
· General Surgery
· Gynaecology
· Consultant Out-Patient Clinics.
· Diagnostic Radiological and Laboratory services.
· Day Surgery.
· Clinical Nurse Specialist in the areas of Diabetes, Continence Management, Respiratory Care, Tissue Viability, Infection Control, Palliative Care and Pain Management.
· Occupational Therapy
· Speech and Language Therapy.
· Social Worker Support.
· Physiotherapy services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assess patient care need and plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care, using research-based practice.
· Manage allocated patients in a structured, organised and safe manner.
· Deliver holistic care in accordance with hospital policies, procedures and guidelines and in accordance the Code of Professional Conduct.
· Help to maintain an effective learning environment for trained staff, students and course participants.
· Adhere to all NMBI Guidelines and legislative documentation.
· On an occasional basis and on night duty, to act as Shift Leader, Nurse in Charge in the absence of senior staff.
· Work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
Candidates must possess the following:
· Must be NMBI registered.
· At least two years recent relevant post-registration nursing experience.
· Excellent clinical, leadership and organisational skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Must hold a current Irish Residents Permit (if applicable).
· Broad knowledge of clinical nursing research-based practice.
