We provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities for Members and their guests in three Clubhouses. In addition, both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses have numerous catering facilities used by Members, non-members and corporate organizations for a variety of functions. The Job You will: Ensure periodical inspection is conducted around the Clubhouse to identify problems and take necessary follow-up actions. Lead a team of Duty Engineers and Technicians and perform skilled facility maintenance and repair work for the refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical systems and finishing such as walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, plant & equipment, metalwork, woodwork, masonry of the Clubhouse; ensure on-time delivery that meet established standards; ensure around-the-clock responsiveness to mechanical failures or emergency situations. Monitor work progress, check work performance, make corrections of any deficiencies as necessary, and recommend deployment of additional departmental manpower or contract personnel (as appropriate) to ensure meeting assigned completion timeline while meeting departmental budget. Perform highly skilled facility maintenance work (as required) by inspecting and testing elements of relevant systems to locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions, troubleshooting and/or performing required repairs, and providing an estimate of repair (and/or replacement) costs beyond the capability to perform. Propose and implement improvement and modification works for existing facilities and builders’ works for better efficiency and compliance with the latest statutory requirements. Provide technical support in the procurement of new or replacement mechanical maintenance equipment or systems by reviewing and preparing equipment specifications, and advising the manager on equipment capability and compatibility, installation requirements and costs, and potential operations and maintenance expenses. Ensure that the cost of maintenance repairs and services is documented by keeping records of time and materials to be charged to each job, and providing periodic status and analytical reports to the manager. Ensure that maintenance personnel have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform mechanical services and advise the manager regarding potential shortages, recommended replacement items, or related equipment needs. Implement preventive maintenance to minimize the likelihood of a significant disruption of mechanical services (e.g. heating, cooling, plumbing, electricity) to the Clubhouse. Inspect the work of contractors and give them guidelines ensuring that their services meet specified standards thus minimizing future operational problems; advise the manager when contracted services fail to meet specifications or endanger the Clubhouse property or lives. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements by enforcing the Club’s policies, departmental SOPs, laws, and regulations governing safety and health, environmental protection and sustainability, hazardous waste disposal, use of chemical substances and materials, etc. Maintain a positive atmosphere among team members; train members on proper practices to enhance their performance level. Perform any other related duties as and when assigned by supervisor To be conversant with the Clubhouse Emergency Procedures. Perform Emergency Response Team duties as required. Personal presentation will be clean, neat and tidy at all times. Manage a PM work in accordance with the Clubhouse Planned Maintenance Program. Familiarize himself with the technical details of all Plant and Services relating to the Clubhouse. Work shifts as designated. Actively assist with Energy Conservation and Control. Delivering products or services with sustainable improvements in resource efficiency without compromising quality. Leading a team whose performance in service excellence is the level of role models for peers. About You You should have: Higher Diploma / Diploma in Building Services or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or minimum of 7 years’ solid experience in facilities management gained from hospitality industry Holder of Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker Grade A Good customer service skills Good communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese Hands-on experience in using MS Office and other applications Terms of employment The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
