THE ROLE: Senior Systems Engineer Job Summary: We require a keen, experienced systems engineer to provide support on customers’ ICT infrastructure. This role is part of our dedicated Infrastructure Support team. You will need to have a broad technical background with good communication skills, an eagerness to learn and previous experience in a similar role. Job Responsibilities: Providing 2nd and 3rd Level Support to a broad range of clients and technologies across datacentres, M365, cloud and Security. Accepting escalations from Level 1 engineers and customers. Working with the team and management to develop processes and solutions. Reviewing Customer environments for areas of improvements and Health checks. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all ISMS Policies and Procedures within Presidio and supporting the ISMS continuous improvement process. Required Skills: Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff at client sites. Take ownership of technical problems, seeing them through to resolution. Quickly build rapport and gain client confidence. Work individually and as part of a team. Follow company procedures and methods. Available to work out of hours / weekends if necessary. Logical thinker. Proven track record in troubleshooting and problem solving. Utilize all tools available to resolve 95% of issues at the first time of asking. Ability to quickly learn new products. Good Communication skills. Good knowledge around the ITIL framework. Education and Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role. Understanding of Server and Storage hardware. Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019. Microsoft Active Directory. Hypervisor – VMware. Microsoft 365. Citrix Xen Desktop / Xen App. Firewall/Routers – Fortigate, Cisco. WAN configurations – SSL VPN, Site to Site VPNs Routing / NAT configurations. Backup Solutions – Veeam + Rubrik. MCSA – Windows Server / Office 365. VCP – VMware. CCNA - Helpful Beneficial. Azure Qualifications – Beneficial. Security Qualifications - Beneficial.
