App Link in Enterprise Engineering is seeking a System Development Engineer to join our team building Amazon's unified platform for third‑party Saa S deployment and lifecycle management at enterprise scale. We manage 25+ 3 P Saa S products, powering 500 K+ annual operations for teams including Enterprise Service Delivery, Unified Communications, ITShop, App Sense, and MAX.
Key job responsibilities
Build scalable, fault‑tolerant storage, indexing, and query systems underpinning App Link's configuration, token management, and usage collection services — designed for high availability and low operational overhead.
Develop intelligent automation enabling proactive 3 P Saa S governance, including Stone Gate License Manager (SLi M), License Integration Management Engine (Li ME), and HRIS Event Reactor for real‑time deprovisioning.
Deliver 2026 roadmap initiatives including self‑service workflow configuration — reducing platform team dependencies and increasing deployment velocity.
Partner with Security, IT Shop, and Service Management teams to ensure App Link meets Amazon's security bar, compliance requirements, and operational excellence standards.
Mentor engineers, participate in hiring loops, and contribute to oncall rotation with proactive ticket management and production incident ownership.
A day in the life
Partner with cross‑disciplinary Amazonians to design and deliver App Link's 3 P lifecycle management platform, enabling secure, no‑code Saa S integration across Amazon's enterprise ecosystem.
Architect and build distributed systems powering App Link's core workflows — User Lifecycle Management, Token Flow, Log Flow, and Access Flow — at Amazon enterprise scale.
Develop intelligent automation and prediction systems enabling proactive lifecycle governance for 3 P Saa S, including Stone Gate License Manager and HRIS Event Reactor.
About the team
App Link is a team of 11 engineers and 1 TPM, Dublin‑based team with a strong engineering culture — investing in technical depth, career growth, and building systems that eliminate manual effort for hundreds of software owners across Amazon.
Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
Experience (non‑internship) in professional software development
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands‑on systems engineering
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, Power Shell, Ruby
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Power Shell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
