Simo Tech require a Delta V Automation Engineer to join our team, supporting one of our leading pharmaceutical clients based in Cork. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in automation engineering, preferably within the Life Sciences industry. The role involves the design, development and testing of Delta V code, as well as working with engineers from other disciplines to support projects. Key Responsibilities Creation of automation Functional and Detailed Design documents. Coding of Delta V Control Modules, Equipment Modules and Phase Classes. Reviewing and testing Delta V code. Act as point of support for walkthroughs and reviews of code with clients. Commissioning and qualification activities. Production support. Support other teams, such as validation and C&Q, with projects. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or Life Sciences. Must have 5+ years demonstrated Delta V batch automation experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment. Strong knowledge of S-88 Batch Standard. Ability to interact and communicate with other engineering and business disciplines. Good understanding of GAMP, regulatory requirements and computer system validation. Ability to work well as part of a team. Role provides a high degree of autonomy to allow the successful candidate to reach their full potential.
