Unijobs on behalf of our client, Children's Health Ireland (CHI), are currently recruiting for the position of Clinical Applications Project Manager in Dublin.
This post will be primarily based across CHI's new children's hospital project sites; CHI Crumlin/Temple Street/Connolly/La Touche but will need to be able to work from any CHI site as needed.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week onsite initially.
There will be a mix of attendance, and it depends on business requirements that week.
The duration of this post is 12 months initially with strong expectations the role would be extended with a 35-hour standard working week.
The successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid a daily rate of €476.65.
The purpose of the role As a Clinical Applications Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical software applications within the healthcare organisation.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, clinicians, IT professionals, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects aimed at enhancing clinical processes, patient care, and overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities: Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and milestones.
Coordinate and lead project meetings, providing regular updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Monitor project budgets and resources, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with clinical staff, IT personnel, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment of project goals with organizational needs.
Facilitate communication between technical teams and end-users to translate clinical requirements into functional specifications.
Software Development Oversight: Work closely with software development teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality clinical applications.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of software solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and user requirements.
Implement change management processes to facilitate smooth transitions during software updates and upgrades.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to clinical software applications.
Ensure that all projects adhere to relevant regulations such as ISO (IEC Medical Devices Software) guidelines.
Training and Support: Develop training materials and provide user training sessions to clinical staff on new software applications.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of project plans, requirements, testing protocols, and other relevant materials.
Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Requirements: Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare IT systems.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare/Clinical Informatics or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in project management, preferably in the healthcare or clinical informatics domain.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Solid organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to healthcare software applications.
A hands on approach to getting things done in a very dynamic and constantly changing environment.
