Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Water Industry - Pharma)
Job Description
My client are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer with expertise in chemistry to join our team in the water industry sector. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for water treatment equipment and systems at client sites. This role requires a strong understanding of chemical processes, water treatment technologies, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Installation and Maintenance: Install, commission, and maintain water treatment equipment and systems, including chemical feed systems, filtration units, and disinfection systems. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to clients regarding the operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of water treatment processes. Respond promptly to service requests, diagnose equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
Chemical Management: Manage chemical treatment programs for water treatment processes, including the selection, dosing, and monitoring of chemicals to achieve desired water quality parameters. Conduct chemical analysis and adjust treatment processes as needed to meet performance targets and regulatory requirements.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices for water treatment operations. Maintain accurate records of service activities, chemical usage, and water quality data. Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in a similar role within the water treatment industry, with knowledge of chemical treatment processes and equipment.
Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues related to water treatment equipment and systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Willingness to travel to client sites as needed and work flexible hours to accommodate project requirements.
Valid Full Irish driver's license.
