Brief Description Gem Oils are currently seeking a Warehouse Operator.
The role of a warehouse operator is a customer facing role with responsibilities for ensuring all goods are picked, checked, and packed ready for delivery to customers whilst ensuring maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring all goods are picked, checked accurately and in timely manner, in line with Company procedures.
Ensuring all goods are in the correct location and labelled correctly, reporting any damaged or incorrectly located stock to your line manager.
To assist with stock takes.
Ensuring all equipment (e.g., ladders, forklift trucks, pallet trucks) is correctly used and properly maintained.
To know the locations of and practice correct handling procedures for potentially hazardous products To serve and assist customers when required at the counter and on the phone.
Advising customers on any queries, which may arise in relation to products and/or their orders, technical knowledge of the products will form a key part of the role.
Maintaining the site, to ensure it is in good and safe order, reporting any H&S our security concerns as and when they arise to your line manager.
Any other duties as assigned by your line manager to meet the needs of the business.
Candidate Profile Warehouse experience advantageous Self-Motivated Hands on/can do attitude.
A high level of accuracy/attention to detail along with good organizational skills are key attributes for the position.
Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations Excellent interpersonal skills, specifically excellent customer service skills Ability to work under pressure.
